Biography
Ms. Lake, a native Californian, was born in Los Angeles, and spent most of her life moving north and west. She went back to college after a 25-year long career in banking, real estate brokerage, and mortgage lending and raising two children. She got sidetracked from econ and graduated with a degree in Law and Society.
Her professors kept nagging her about going to law school. She was accepted to a top-tier school and graduated in 2004 at the age of 54.
Ms. Lake does not practice law. She has settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. She helps grow political consciousness with her writing as well as time well- spent in peaceful dissent. In her copious spare time, she makes jewelry, creates positive energy via the art of feng shui, plays the keyboards, and talks to friends in international political chatrooms.
She still gets sidetracked a lot.
Interests
Political economy, political linguistics, sociology, macroeconomics, feng shui, jazz, beading, sharing love, and bike riding.
